Students read and discuss a classic novel over the course of the program. At home, they use an interactive DVD designed to build comprehension and help them more deeply explore the meaning of the book.
Textbook and Nonfiction Selections
In class, students use a science textbook and other non-fiction to practice study skills like previewing, identifying main ideas, and note-taking.
This vocabulary workbook teaches students to analyze prefixes, suffixes, and Greek and Latin roots. Students learn over 200 words that commonly appear on the SAT and ACT.
